How to Install phonon software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

phonon software package provides multimedia framework from KDE - metapackage, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install phonon

phonon is installed in your system.

Make ensure the phonon package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep phonon *

You will get with phonon package name, version, architecture and description in a table
